Old Sacramento Waterfront
Theatre of Lights is a free, family-friendly performance retelling “Twas the Night Before Christmas” in a uniquely Sacramento way on the rooftops of the Old Sacramento Waterfront. Produced by Downtown Sacramento Partnership, the shows are on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting Thanksgiving Eve (no show on Thanksgiving).

Every Third Thursday in Old Sacramento Waterfront, small business owners will open their doors to give you a peek behind the curtain, hosting 15-20 minute-long live demonstrations and artist activations at the top of every hour from 4–8 p.m.

Brief Tiny World: An improvised one act play
Our Place Event Space & Kitchen
Join Brief Tiny World for an evening of improvised drama and delight. Our performers will produce a full 60 minute play completely on the spot using your suggestions.

The Polar Express Train Ride
California State Railroad Museum
Live the magical journey of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride
Enjoy this magical family event! The evening begins in our passenger station where you will be entertained by Polar Express characters, and then board your train to the North Pole where you will enjoy hot chocolate and a sweet treat courtesy of our hot chocolate chefs. Once you reach the North Pole, the jolly old elf — Santa himself — will come on board to give each passenger the first gift of Christmas, a silver sleigh bell.
